FIRST WHO, THEN WHAT
Having the right team members is the first and arguably most important part of building strategy. Having the right people allows for teams to have the most impact and represent different viewpoints while avoiding dysfunction.

DEFINING THE WHY
Defining the "why" behind each team member not only builds camaraderie but fuels team cohesion and transparency, leading to healthy debate and progress. It also lays a foundation for shared language and clear expectations.

MAPPING THE SYSTEM
Many organizations and teams dive right into building a program, product, etc. without fully understanding the system they are working within. Taking a systems thinking approach helps prevent breakdowns and deal breakers.

BUILDING THE CORE
The first few stages prepare a solid foundation for the organization, program, product, etc. to be built upon. Teams then get into the nuts and bolts of what they're building and have a strong background to lean back on.
