SERVING ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH PROGRAMS
When executed properly, programs improve organizations, communities, and lives. The belief that programs serve as a platform for development and improvement is what has fueled creation and involvement in the below areas.

National Program
USTA Tennis on Campus
During my time with the United States Tennis Association, I managed a collegiate club sports program from a national scope. We worked with internal departments, a network of USTA Sections/Districts, and programs at the grassroots level to deliver the program and a national series of tournaments and events.

ERG/BRG Programs
In addition to my regular duties at the USTA, I served as Co-Chair of the Asian American Business Resource Group. In this role, I worked with our other chairs and senior advisors to intersect the USTA mission and Asian American community engagement through events and programs. An example of this was hosting the 2020 NAAAP National Leadership Academy (NLA) at the USTA National Campus.

National Program
Self-Care & Wellness
I have the pleasure of serving as the Strategic Lead for Self-Care & Wellness, a national program which launched in June 2020 through NAAAP. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, multi-dimensional program founded on cultural competence to promote mental health and holistic wellness for professionals.

After School Programs
Learn to Play Tennis
Serving our local community was a driving force of my time at Ferris State University, and we accomplished this through the creation of after school programs and scholarships. The after school programs were offered for middle school students free-of-charge and included transportation, instruction, and tennis equipment. We were able to do this by bridging efforts between student and community tennis associations.

Local Program
Primary Judicial Forum
The mission of the National Association of Asian American Orlando chapter is to build leaders. We believe a key part of leadership is being educated on current events and who our local leaders are. We were proud to provide education on the 2020 Primary Elections with a key partner, the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association.

Tennis Scholarships
Jamel Embree Scholarship
The second part of our community efforts in the Big Rapids community, the Ferris State University Professional Tennis Management Student Association and Club Tennis organization fundraised to provide children an opportunity to take tennis clinics for free. Both of these efforts started in 2014 and continue today, showing the sustainability of creating and maintaining community partnerships around shared goals.
